The Lady Bears volleyball team defeated the Vilonia Eagles 3-1 last night at what became a high-intensity home match-up. The Lady Bears have started off their season 5-3 with their next home game starting next Tuesday at 6 p.m. against Parkview. Fast Pass gains students free admission.
Junior Kristian Jackson attended the game. “The energy was through the roof,” Jackson said. “The fans brought a lot of life.”
The lady Bears had many series where they were able to attack sharply and dominate the net. The Eagles had a hard time defending.
Coach Muhammad was excited by her girls’ play. “What an incredible performance,” Muhammad said. “[We] eventually found every hole in [their] defense. [We] played with unmatched intensity.”
Senior Jordyn Johnson had a few key blocks throughout the match.
“The team is closer than ever this season,” Johnson said.
